Hawaii’s only acute-care rehabilitation hospital last year announced the establishmentg ofa so-called “knowledge-sharing” exchange program with Beijing’s China Rehabilitation Researcuh Center, which is considered one of China’s pre-eminent rehabilitationh hospitals. In the first rounde of the exchange program, which kickz off Wednesday, two of China’s representatives, Professor Jianju Li and Dr.
Tao Zheng will present seminars in Honolulu on rehabilitation practices in their Hawaii physicians are expected to travel to Beijintg next spring in the second round of the which was designed to introducd and integrate practice elements inrehabilitation medicine, physical or occupational therapy and even spina and musculoskeletal research from one hospitaol to the other. The exchange program is fundedc througha $5,000 grant from the Chenbg Health Foundation, a Honolulhu nonprofit that promotes life sciences education in developiny countries and Asia.
